대전에 위치한 AI 기업 (주)가온플랫폼을 방문했습니다.
가온플랫폼은 고려대학교 연구진이 개발한 LLM 기반 기술을 활용해
플랜트 예지보전, 스마트시티 통합 관제, 재난 안전 시스템 등
다양한 산업 솔루션을 제공하고 있습니다.
일반적으로 이러한 시스템은 각각 별도의 플랫폼과 운영 인력이 필요합니다.
그러나 가온플랫폼은 이를 단일 통합 플랫폼 위에 구축하여
필요 인력, 유지 비용, 납기 측면에서 경쟁사 대비 뚜렷한 우위를 확보하고 있었습니다.
이처럼 복잡한 통합 플랫폼을 자체 개발한 배경에는
고가의 미국산 솔루션을 대체하고 국내 산업 발전에 기여하고자 하는
조만영 대표님의 확고한 비전이 있습니다.
해외사업을 총괄하시는 Thomas SK Lee 부장님을 통해
최근 진출한 인도네시아와 몽골 현장의 생생한 이야기도 들을 수 있었습니다.
특히 몽골에서는 외국 기업 중 유일하게
현지 고용 창출, 몽골어 버전 회사 소개서 제작, 홍보 영상 제작 등을 적극적으로 수행하며 관계자들로부터 높은 평가를 받고 있었습니다.
DCG는 (주)가온플랫폼의 글로벌 비즈니스 역량을 더욱 강화할 수 있도록현지 직원 교육, 시장 조사, 세일즈 리드 확보, 비용 절감, 경영 전략 등 다양한 영역에서 협력을 확대해 나가기로 했습니다.

I recently visited Gaon Platform, an AI company based in Daejeon, Korea.
Gaon Platform leverages a Korea University–developed LLM to deliver solutions in predictive maintenance for plants, smart city integrated control, and disaster safety systems.
Unlike competitors that build and operate multiple separate systems,
Gaon Platform provides a unified AI platform, dramatically reducing manpower needs, maintenance costs, and delivery timelines.
This difficult technical path was driven by CEO Joman Young’s clear vision
to replace expensive U.S. solutions and contribute to Korea’s industrial innovation.
I also had the opportunity to hear valuable insights from
Thomas SK Lee, Head of Global Business, regarding their recent projects in Indonesia and Mongolia—where Gaon Platform is the only foreign company to create local jobs, produce Mongolian-language corporate materials, and develop promotional content, earning strong recognition from stakeholders.
DCG will continue to support Gaon Platform’s global expansion through
local workforce training, market research, sales lead generation, cost optimization, and broader strategic collaboration.
